weird children visit

                               Weird children visit

“Yawn”I said as I woke up. As usual I said, “Goodmorning baby G, good morning Albert, good morning Sam,” “Good Morning Mr.Big” they said back to me. It Wasn’t a rainy day, it was a clear, sunny day. It was as big as a diamond, the sky was sparkly blue like mountain water, and the sun was as bright as God (exaggerating). I ate myt never-ending breakfast/ lunch/ dinner grass, then I reached up for some leaves because the grass was too dry. I decided to run around the pen for and goat houses. When I was done, I didn’t notice that naughty, Baby G jump over the fence behind me and said hi to her mum and dad. Did I mention that Baby G was raised by cows?

While I was watching Albert and Sam, I noticed that there were strange kids arriving. “The sheep look full” I wondered why, so I asked them. “Because the children fed us our dessert and your gonna get some to” explained the sheep, “Yeehaw!” I thought. When they got to our pen, I noticed my friendly farm friend, Debby. I rushed to the fence for food, and the first person who had a plate of dessert was a very handsome man. I was glad that I was eating out of his hand. The dessert was scrumptious, then I saw more dessert, I had to eat it all but before I could, Albert and Sam ate everything else. I wandered where Baby G went.

Before I could ask for more, they all went to feed the cows. “There’s Baby G, she’s with the cows!” I was thinking about the time when Baby G ate over love baby’s trees.

I liked those children. they were nice. I especially liked that handsome man. I hope to see them again.

Review:
          RAP-punzel

In the 12th of November, the actors of N.Z. playhouse Auckland came to our school, C.T.K. (Christ The King) Owairaka. The actors names are, Ben, Jack and Jane. They were here because they are presenting shows to every school in Auckland.

Ben came out from the curtain and was dressed up as Pinocchio, one of my favourite fairytale characters. He told us what to do when the signs appear. There was one that said applause, one that said laugh, and one that said oooh, . After we practiced doing  what the  signs had said, Simon Cow (like Simon Cowell) came out from behind the curtain too. He expected us to clap, but the applause sign did not come out, so he argued with Pinocchio about how an amazing  producer he was.

Then it came to the judging of the acts. First was, one was Jill’s act (from Jack and Jill), Simon Cow asked if she was going to fetch a pail of water and that's what she did, she pretended that she was gonna spill it on us. He thought this was too boring so he pressed his button and Jill walked away. Next was Sleeping Beauty. Her act was to sleep beautifully. She, at first was yawning, then, she snored. Simon pushed his button but she was still sleeping. He had to kiss her on the cheek so she could wake up. Finally came Rapunzel, her act was was to sing. She sung a song called yellow (the lyrics were changed) but Simon just thought it was going to be just as bad as the other’s acts so he read his newspaper. She started singing and Simon was drawn to her voice. He said that she won the land far, far, away’s got talent winner, but she had to sign a contract to get the prize. The contract said that Simon Cow will have total control of the winner and would have to do what he wants. Rapunzel didn't sign it and still lived a poor life. The really funny parts was when prince rupee’s pants were falling down and when he was hiding behind his horse.

In my own opinion, Duffy theater is similar. This theater is good for all ages because they have slapstick humor for people who don’t get the joke and sophisticated humor for people who do get it. They had a good amount of props and also had fun playing with words. Expect their performances to always be hilarious.

Mary Mackillop centre
I hear voices chattering and laughing about Ben playing on a trampoline. I am in the yard of the Mary Mackillop centre with the school for our trip. It seems as if it is midday. I see an interesting water ball.

A bunch of people gather around the sphere. I feel water dripping on my shoes. The water makes a splashing sound when it reaches the small pool underneath it. I spot one person out of the corner of my eye touching the water sphere. I smell the food some of the people behind me are eating.

I wonder why they have this in there garden. Maybe the sphere represents Jesus and the water represents the water of his baptism.

Book Review:How to train your dragon:How to be a pirate

Book review:How to train your dragon: How to be a pirate.
Author:Cressida Cowell.

Out in the wild sea, there is a boat, and in the boat is the hero, Hiccup, his pet dragon, Toothless, Hiccup’s friend, Fishlegs and the others.

Hiccup has found a coffin,Everyone on the shore reads the words  “DO NOT OPEN” on it and underneath it, it says who’s the coffin is, it’s Hiccup’s Great Great Grandfather’s! he was the toughest and meanest viking of all, he went missing with his treasure for 100 years or so. Will they open the coffin to steal his riches, or leave it as it is? And will Snotlout, Hiccup’s cousin, seal the treasure for himself.

This is a very exciting book. It is one of my favourite books and I hope the author will make more books about it. I rate it 8 years and over just because it’s a really interesting book but it has some words that might be too complicated for younger ages.

Book Review:the welkin weasles

Book review: The Welkin Weasels
A book by Garry kilworth

The Welkin Weasels is a fantasy book. It is sort of like the Hobbit except the characters are mostly woodland creatures. The character I know so far is Sylver, the main character,Prince Poynt, Falshed the sheriff, and a stoat/ weasel army. The story takes place in  an island that has been ruled by stoats, weasels (maybe ferrets), moving statues and other things since the humans left.

Sylver’s band of weasels are trying to find the humans because the wall keeping the sea away from the island was about to break. The wall is important to the creatures because if it weren't there, the island would be flooded. Then you would ask, “Why do they need the humans?”. The humans are the only ones who can fix the wall but Prince Poynt doesn't want the humans to come back because he will lose all his power and he will never taste the wonderful taste of cooked food again. They learned how to cook when the humans left.

My favourite part of the story is when the weasels caught Falshed, tied him to a pole, stuck it on a raft, and made him sail away. I would rate it nine years and over because it’s an incredible book with magic but not so much comedy. It’s a very good and I think everyone should read it.I would like to hear your say of the book.

Book Review: The Hobbit

Book review:
by:J.R.R. Tolkien

The Hobbit first takes place a little hobbit hole were hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, the star of the story, lives. An unexpected party comes along which has 13 Dwarves, Dwalin, Balin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Ori. Nori,Oin,Gloin, and the most important Dwarf, Thorin, along with the amazing wizard,Gandalf.

They plan to kill the evil dragon  Smaug and try to take back Erebor but, the journey is full of obstacles and paths which could lead the right way or sudden death.

If you are interested in fantasy books, then this is definitely the book for you, if not, you should read it anyway. This book definitely makes you feel that you're their because the story is so amazing and it feels like actually happened. I love how they described the journey and how they wasted the trolls’ time so they could freeze.

Lawson:writing sample T.3-7

It is afternoon. I am riding a mini-bike on a dirt track.
My dad is next to me, he seems quite calm, but still watching like a hawk. I’m doing a jump over a slightly small bump. I hope I land. I’m riding the mini-bike for practice to get through to the mini-bike championship. I hope I go to the championship.

I can hear the motor running, vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm! My adrenalin is racing across my body. I smell the rough stench of dead soil that has been ripped off the ground. I hear another motor from the distance, it’s my friend, Jens. I can almost taste the burning rubber from my tyre. I hope I can take my helmet off after the practice because I’m sweating like a waterfall.

Some people think riding any type of bike that’s similar to a motor-bike is dangerous and  some people say that they’ve ridden a motor-bike but they haven't, they just want to impress their friends, but I want to ride one because I think it would be fun.

orientation .Mum,sister Jane. .evening. .home. .Jane putting on costume. .for Halloween. body .dress looks like it’s soft like silk. .Jane’s belt thing rustling. I see mum and my sister Jane.Mum is helping Jane put on her costume for halloween.I realise that I am home and the time of day is not morning, nor night, it is evening. I see Jane’s dress and it looks like it is smooth like silk, I come towards Jane and feel her dress, it does feel smooth like silk. I ask mum where they got the dress from, “I made it by myself,” says mum.I can hear Jane’s golden belt thing rustling. “let me add a little more and I’ll be done,” mum says in a relieved voice.I can smell the scent of the candy at the front door, chocolate, lollipops, and wrapped up slices of cake!I want to go to the front door and take some candy but mum stops me and says, “ the candy is for the other kids, not us” so I stay inside. I think halloween is a great day and in the Christian church, it is called all saints’ day, I think it is also called, ‘hallows day’. I heard that they used to dress up as monsters to scare the dead spirits away!

orientation: .soft, turquoise, leather couch. .Grandpa,Me. .Homework. .morning,saturday. .Home. .Grandpa helping homework. body: .Grandpa helping with compensation. .interested. conclusion: I’m sitting with my grandpa on the soft, leather couch which because he is helping me do my ballistick homework. The reason why I call it ballistick is because it’s stupendously hard! I just woke up on Saturday and Grandpa says to come do my homework. I listen to Grandpa as I get hooked into the world of compensating.”So this is what you do, if you’re doing 57 plus 29, you have to take 1 from 57 and give it to the 29 so it becomes…?” “uh,uh, 56 plus 30?,” I say nervously, “correct Pete,” says Grandpa and yes, my name is Pete, “So what’s 56 plus 30?,” my Grandpa asks me, I think quickly and desperately, looking at my Grandpa’s face, it looks serious, then I answer, “86?,” he sighs, oh no, have I got it wrong?his mouth is opening, what is he going to say? “yes, Pete, yes.” I take a sigh of relief, I tell myself, “well done.” grandpa starts telling me to do that same method on every equation on the paper. I love math, even when their are hard methods like compensating. literacy is my favourite subject but apart from that, I think math is awesome and if you don’t believe me just because it’s hard for you, well you should.

I come closer and ask what they were talking about.” the soccer game that Ron just finished playing.” says Mr.Clans. I hear the song of the chirping birds and feel the gentle breeze touching me, I can also smell the scent of the pine trees.I’m starting to hear Mr.Clans and Ron talking about the fifa world cup.”is the fifa world cup finished Mr.Clans?” says Ron,”I don’t know, I haven’t seen it in a long time” “it’s finished” I interrupt Mr.Clans’ sentence. “Can you please tell us which team won?”, Ron and Mr.Clans ask,”Germany won”,I say in a grumpy voice, “I wish Argentina won” “me too” say Mr.Clans after Ron,”but I wish Brazil won” I say in an annoyed voice.”ya’ know, this reminds me when I used to be in a soccer team at school”, Mr. Clans says in an enthusiastic voice.”no way, you used to be in a soccer team too?” says Ron in a surprised voice, holding his ball tighter,”yes way, in fact, I was the team captain of the team. The team was called, the flying cyclones,” says Mr.Clans,”thats a cool name,” I say. “Whenever we took on another team from a different school, they thought we would lose,” ”did you?,” Ron inturrupts “well, sometimes. My team ignored the falier and says I’m a great captain anyways”,says Mr.Clans,”I wish every team was like that”, says Ron.I get inturrupted by the shoes that Ron was wearing,”arn’t you supposed to wear soccer boots?” I say but Ron ignores me. I think every soccer team is cool, but my favourite team is Brazil, and even if they lose, I still think their the best team ever and I think

camping on Matariki.

It’s late in the afternoon. The moon is just rising, I’m at the beach.I see a fire , the beach owner is telling us to come. I see miss Crosshair approaching us, along with Frank, Nettle and their older sisters.I see their holding bags, their camping bags! were camping! The beach owner is coming and he is saying, “tomorrow is Matariki so were camping out for the night .” The others approached sleepily from their nap. I decide to look at the sea, for it is glittering with the reflection of the stars, a hint of aqua-marine and smelled of saltiness. I turn to see the fire’s tongues, sparking and the smoke drifting to the sky like a dead spirit rising, then I am encountered with the sharp smell of smoke. as I take my sandals off, I feel the sand’s softness but it is freezing cold because of the whispering wind and the sea’s cold water. I am so calm and happy, so I start day-dreaming. After a while, I am interrupted by the murmur of voices. It is the gang saying good-night to each other. They are all sleeping on the sand. I stay outside staring at the glistening stars. Then, something fantastic happens, I stayed up long long enough to see Matariki appear! it was so awesome! I lie on the sand looking back at the fire thinking, “I wonder if Matariki is called different names in different sides if the world”. I think Matariki is amazing, no matter what it’s called. The thing I especially like about Matariki is that it disappears and reappears.

Beauty and the Beast

 `     Beauty and the Beast
           Review
On Friday the 9th of May, at 12.pm, C.T.K. and other schools went to Manukau Vodafone Event Centre where Sancta Maria college was putting on a musical play called Beauty and the Beast (Disney version). The actors were Olivia Brown (Beauty) Roman Bennett (beast), Eljay Florendo (Gaston), James Moore (Lefou), Matthew Chalk (Maurice/Beauty's father), Matthew Laguda (Lumiere the candle), Connor  Farrell (Cogsworth the clock), Keelin Weekly(Mrs Potts the teapot), Aiden Van Heerden (chip the cup), Tayla Sloan (Babette the feather duster), Michaela Ralph-Smith (wardrobe), Stephen Fletcher (Monsieur D’Arque) Cassidy Wildson, Emily Lyall and Janae Featherstone (the silly girls). The main characters were Beauty and the Beast.
My favourite character in the story is Lumiere, the candle.
Matthew’s candle costume looked fantastic. I liked the way the Beast and the others turned into humans when the explosion went off.The scenery showing the palace was very convincing but the scenery showing the village wasn’t really convincing because I could tell that the buildings were made out of cardboard from the audience, but that didn’t ruin the show.I think there should have been more trees in the scenery showing the forest.
I liked the play and if you like happy endings, then you’ll like it too.I’d give it 4 stars for people who like drama.
